We’re thinking calling an article of clothing a “Lettuce Edge” Nursing Camisole is not exactly the best title, but hey, maybe we don’t know fashion!
The term lettuce edge applies to the lower edge of this cami, which looks something like… you guessed it… the edge of a piece of lettuce. Needless to say the edge is not straight, which gives a little bit of style, and makes this article of clothing a bit more interesting for Mom.
This camisole comes in multiple color combinations with intriguing names like Lemongrass/nectar, Mallard/lemongrass (shown here), Nectar/pinkgrapefruit, Olive/eggshell, Shiraz/nectar, Thistle/lichen, and Truffle/Mediterranean.
This is a nursing top, right? Coming with a drop-cup clasp, and built-in shelf bra with overlapping nursing openings ensures coverage while breastfeeding.
Only $24 (or $17.50/each if you buy two) at MothersWear.

Five days per week our staff brings you unique, interesting products. Most of these products are new products made from new materials. We also happen to be fans of green design here at BabyBought. Namely, products made in green ways, with green materials.
Today we bring your some cute stuffed animals made from recycled sweaters.
The recycled material is exceptionally soft and baby will sure to be a big fan of cuddling up next to either the cute elephant or wooly lion.
There is a note on this product that the colors on your order may not match the color pictured above. This is due to the recycled nature of the product — and we love it!
Mom, pick up this earth friendly toy at UncommonGoods for only $26/each.

If there’s one thing cuter than the Hooded Animal Towels we posted before, it’s this Angel Blanket. How cute will your baby look wrapped up in this plush angel blanket with soft velvet wings?
It’s machine washable for easy care. Fits infants up to 6 months. And when you buy from Red Envelope you have the option to personalize it with pink or blue embroidery. As with everything at Red Envelope, it ships with the story. The story for this angel blanket reads like this:
Angel Blanket
Give your little angel the wings they deserve. Infants love to be swaddled, and now your blanket makes this time-honored practice a snap. Put your baby in this velvet-soft blanket, gather the two “wings” on either side, and line up the snaps on the backs of both flaps for a cozy, warm fit. Just like that, your baby will be ready for cuddling.
The angel blanket is $40 at Red Envelope. Personalization costs an extra $10 but makes it a PERFECT gift!

The “Fun Fishies” Fun continues, and this time it’s double trouble.
First it was just an Ottoman and Chair, but now the Fun Fishies are taking over. There is now a one-piece (or onesie ’round these parts) and a seperate cute little cap.
These would make a fun little baby shower gift that leaves little junior styling as he sleeps. The one-piece is long sleeved and comes with a full front snap, making your life as a Mom that much easier.
The cap of course comes with a little knot on the top for extra cuteness. Both can be machine washed and tumble dried, as you would expect.
Made of BabyStyle’s signature soft cotton and sharing the same guppy print, what’s not to love about this pajama set for that little guy?

One-piece / onesie - $19.99 and
Cap - $6.99
Available at BabyStyle.com.

Well shoot fire! What boy could resist this manly savings bank?
Piggy bank? Yea, that sounds like something a boy can be proud of. Front Loadin’ Tractor Bank? I think you know which one he would like better.
The best part about this savings bank — which holds coins — is that it actually works! The wheels roll, and the shovel goes up and down too.
This thing has a lot of detail on it… grooves in the tires, mesh grill, exhaust pipe… and you can monogram it too to make it extra special.
The only thing lacking is the tractor noises. And we think maybe… just maybe you won’t have to worry about that one either once he lays eyes on this bank.
$19.95 at The Corner Stork.

How cute are these? I’m pretty sure they’re the cutest. No more boring white bath towels, please! Keep your baby entertained with these cute, cuddly towels. 100% cotton, about 33″ x 27″ so it fits babies up to 2 years old. You can pick an adorable penguin, polar bear or seal. These are so stinkin’ cute!
Each towel is shipped with a story to let your recipient know how special it is. Here are the stories that come with these towels:
polar bear hooded towel
Though they appear white and fluffy, the polar bear’s skin is actually black so it can absorb heat. Its top coat of long protective white hairs are hollow to act as an insulator and to give the bear extra buoyancy in the water. These distinctive traits are celebrated in this towel, a decidedly softer and friendlier alternative to polar bear hair. Made of 100% cotton.
seal hooded towel
Once known as “sea dogs” by whalers, seals search for food with their coarse whiskers, sweeping them up and down to detect fish in murky water. When the coast is clear, seals can focus perfectly in both air and water with their very large, round eyes. Each of these distinctive traits is whimsically detailed on this towel. Made of 100% cotton.
penguin hooded towel
Contrary to popular belief, penguins don’t all live in icy cold climates. Most have chosen to reside in much milder climates along the coast of South America, with a few species making it all the way up to the tropics. Like penguins, little people seek warmth too and they’ll find it in this super-soft towel. Made of 100% cotton.
These are only $29 at Red Envelope and they make a fabulous gift for any new parent!

Do your kids fear the dark? Do they see the boogie man in the closet, shriek at every creek of the house at night, and call for you to check under the bed?
Well now you can tell them: Have no fear! Adorable animal lamps from UncommonGoods are here. When I was little, all we had are little plastic nightlights. Not very reassuring in the middle of a storm, right?
These lamps are sure to be a beacon for your child in the middle of the night. Now the set shown above does not come all as one package. You have to purchase them separately — so choose between Frog, Piggy, Puppy, Kitten, and Monkey ($20 each). They use a 25W bulb, and are approximately 8″x6″. Of course, each one varies a bit in size.
No more scary dark rooms!

This unique toy was developed by an early-childhood educator who also happens to be a mother of three.
Both the blanket and the ball are made of soft fabric that is easy to grab onto, and little fabric tags stick out of both to attract baby’s attention. The ball also has a rattling chime inside of it.
To give a bit of scale, the ball is about 7″ in diameter, and the blanket is 12 inches square. Both are machine washable, because who knows how to hand wash a fleece ball?
Soft, squishable, colorful, and interesting… what Mom wouldn’t want to have their infant playing with this!
Only $40 at Red Envelope.

With Consumer Reports announcing (ConsumerReports.com) yesterday that they are recalling a recent report on rear facing car seats (CNN.com), the idea of getting a safe car seat at a good value becomes more and more clear.
“Our initial review of the Consumer Reports testing procedures showed a significant error in the manner in which it conducted and reported on its side-impact tests,” said NHTSA Administrator Nicole Nason in a statement posted on the agency’s Web site.
“The organization’s data show its side-impact tests were actually conducted under conditions that would represent being struck in excess of 70 mph, twice as fast as the group claimed,” said Nason.
“When NHTSA tested the same child seats in conditions representing the 38.5 mph conditions claimed by Consumer Reports, the seats stayed in their bases as they should, instead of failing dramatically,” she reported.
Consumer Reports will be submitting a new report with any needed changes and additions as soon as possible.
In the meantime, you can trust BabyAge to bring you a quality selection of car seats, so go check them out!
