Would you consider donating an egg?

Would you consider donating an egg?

Phoebe w/Triplets Remember those espisodes of Friends where Phoebe offers to carry the baby of her little brother and his wife the home economics teacher? Frank Jr. and Alice.

Those were some classic episodes. Phoebe agrees to it, the eggs are inserted into her, and she ends up getting pregnant with triplets instead of just one baby. Chaos ensues, but all ends up well.

Did you know that is actually possible? That you can donate an egg to someone who is unable to have a child of their own? You don’t even have to carry the child, just donate the egg.

Egg donors are some special people. It can’t be easy to know that someday, that egg, with all of your DNA in it, is going to be pared up with some other DNA to create a living, breathing, human being. Will you ever meet them? Will your egg be used? Some very difficult questions to ponder.

One thing is for sure, it can change someone’s life. More like two or three person’s lives, but you get the idea.

Mama Pendant

Mama Pendant

Mama Pendant for Mom Husbands, you do remember Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, right?

And as hilarious some of these anti-Valentine’s are… you are probably better off getting your wife and mother of your children a gift. A little something.

Roses? Nah. They get expensive this time of year. Chocolate? Same thing.

Why not get her something unique that she can cherish?

This sterling pendant from FancyJewels.com is really unique. You e-mail them a regular .jpg photo of something, anything (hint, try your baby boy or girl). They shrink it down to size, and cover the photo with a clear quartz stone. Pretty nifty, and she won’t find it at the department store (at least not with her own child’s photo in it!).

Only $90 at FancyJewels.com ($105 if you want to add text to the pendant). Also, ladies — please note that you can’t take a shower/bath or go swimming with this on. It is not waterproof!

Update: iGallop Exercise Machine

Update: iGallop Exercise Machine

We showed you the iGallop Exercise Machine back in December. We had originally seen it over at Jenny Lauck’s blog Big Slice of Life, Small Slice of Cheesecake.

We are thrilled to report that Jenny has actually gone out on a limb and purchased one of the iGallop machines. She reports that it actually works (and her husband doesn’t mind watching either)!

You can catch up on all the excitement over at her blog.

Flo Faucet Cover & Water Deflector

Flo Faucet Cover & Water Deflector

Harsh water right from the faucet isn’t good enough for a BB Mom’s baby! Here’s the cure - the Flo Faucet Cover & Water Deflector.

As you can see from the picture, it easily attaches to the tub faucet with a spring activated grip and acts as a gentle water deflector and bubble bath dispenser.

Most water deflectors cover the shower diverter, but this one’s unique design does away with that problem. It’s soft material makeup protects against head boo-boo’s and the deflector creates a gentle waterfall for easy baby rinsing! You can also fill the bubble bath reservoir and dispense bubbles with the push of a button!

The best part about this product is that it’s super-affordable, only $15 at BabyStyle.com, making it a perfect gift too!

Strollometer

Strollometer

StrollometerWe’re about to give you the proof you need to show everyone you’re working hard at ditching the love padding that inevitably stacked up during pregnancy. No it’s not a “3 second bunns” machine, no it’s not an electro-shock, lose weight while watching TV device - it’s a Strollometer. It sounds just as cool, but it’s quite simple. It keeps track of how many miles you walk pushing around your little pride and joy!

Ok so the concept is simple, but the device itself is actually quite advanced. It uses wireless technology to gauge speed, distance, time and temperature.

All you do is strap the console onto the handlebar at an easy viewing angle, position the magnetic sensor onto the outer wheel of your stroller and you’re good to go! It even comes with a cute carrying pouch and your first set of batteries.

The Strollometer is $48 at BabyStyle (one of our favorites!). And being that this product is the winner of the JPMA Innovation Award and the iParenting Media Award, it’s a total bargain!

Diaper Baggies

Diaper Baggies

Disposable diaper baggiesMoms, have you ever been driving around town when baby just had to be changed? You don’t have time to find a fast food restaurant to use their bathroom, and you are out of options. You pull into a parking lot and get to work.

But wait. Now you’ve got a dirty diaper. In. Your. Car. What to do?

Enter Diaper Baggies. These cute bags are made of recycled plastic, and have a zip lock at the top. Place that reeking diaper inside, and it zips shut easily to lock out odors. Now you can throw those diapers away anywhere without feeling guilty for leaving a special surprise for the next person who comes along.

Each order comes with 40 bags and come with two cute designs on the outside. Only $5.49 at the Happi Baby Store.

iGallop Exercise Machine

iGallop Exercise Machine

iGallop Exercise MachineWhen we first saw this machine, and the advertisement that came with it, all we could say was “unbelievable”! Are these folks serious?

Apparently, the good people at Brookstone are indeed serious.

Trying to lose some weight from your recent pregnancy? Trying to get those abs back into shape? Try Brookstone’s iGallop Core and Abs Exerciser. Yes, they called it the iGallop, as if some Apple engineers went to a Texas bar and reinvented the bull riding machine.

There really isn’t much else we can say about the iGallop other than it might be a hit with husbands. $499 at Brookstone.
