This unique toy was developed by an early-childhood educator who also happens to be a mother of three.
Both the blanket and the ball are made of soft fabric that is easy to grab onto, and little fabric tags stick out of both to attract baby’s attention. The ball also has a rattling chime inside of it.
To give a bit of scale, the ball is about 7″ in diameter, and the blanket is 12 inches square. Both are machine washable, because who knows how to hand wash a fleece ball?
Soft, squishable, colorful, and interesting… what Mom wouldn’t want to have their infant playing with this!
Only $40 at Red Envelope.

With Consumer Reports announcing (ConsumerReports.com) yesterday that they are recalling a recent report on rear facing car seats (CNN.com), the idea of getting a safe car seat at a good value becomes more and more clear.
“Our initial review of the Consumer Reports testing procedures showed a significant error in the manner in which it conducted and reported on its side-impact tests,” said NHTSA Administrator Nicole Nason in a statement posted on the agency’s Web site.
“The organization’s data show its side-impact tests were actually conducted under conditions that would represent being struck in excess of 70 mph, twice as fast as the group claimed,” said Nason.
“When NHTSA tested the same child seats in conditions representing the 38.5 mph conditions claimed by Consumer Reports, the seats stayed in their bases as they should, instead of failing dramatically,” she reported.
Consumer Reports will be submitting a new report with any needed changes and additions as soon as possible.
In the meantime, you can trust BabyAge to bring you a quality selection of car seats, so go check them out!

We showed you the iGallop Exercise Machine back in December. We had originally seen it over at Jenny Lauck’s blog Big Slice of Life, Small Slice of Cheesecake.
We are thrilled to report that Jenny has actually gone out on a limb and purchased one of the iGallop machines. She reports that it actually works (and her husband doesn’t mind watching either)!
You can catch up on all the excitement over at her blog.

It seems we have received a lot of traffic lately for BabyStyle’s Fun Fishies Chair and Ottoman. Unfortunately, upon further searching of BabyStyle’s website we discovered the Fun Fishies Chair and Ottoman seems to no longer be on sale. Perhaps it was so popular they ran out?
There is hope, yet, for those Moms who want to spruce up your darlings pink room - the Toile Chair and Ottoman. It is made of pine wood in a sturdy construction to handle the rigors of a child’s room, has fire retardant foam, and comes with exclusive toile fabric.
The chair, as you can see in the photo, also has some moderate rocking action and ruffle trim. Just like the Fun Fishies chair, the maximum weight it can hold is 150 pounds.
Only $130 at BabyStyle (+$20 shipping surcharge). Also comes in green.

Alright, we can admit. It was the title that caught us.
We aren’t exactly sold on the concept, but you hear more and more these days about yoga for toddlers and the like.
This book isn’t just about yoga positions; it combines the positions with baby massage. All of this is designed to help your little one sleep better, digest better, and grow stronger.
This book normally lists at $16, but you can get it at a 35% discount at Overstock.com if you hurry. Shipping is only $1.40, so you get to keep most of your discount in the end, too!
(Pssst… let us know how you feel about baby yoga, too.)

Too cute!
Our friends over at Mothers Wear currently have this cute, old fashioned baby dress on sale for 50% of its original price of $24.
Do the math, Moms. That’s right. $12 for such an adorable baby dress. Comes with matching velvet diaper cover as well.
The only catch is you need to machine wash this on the gentle cycle, and line dry it rather than pop it in the dryer. But for only $12, we think its a steal. Available in 3-6M, 6-12M, 12-18M, and 18-24M!

Babies and photos go together better than peanut butter and jelly. From the instant you start to show during pregnancy, all the way to cute trips to the local park, photos are snapped of you and your little one.
Now a lot of those photos may end up in, for shame… a shoe box. Shouldn’t they not only be organized, but displayed in an attractive way?
RedEnvelope is offering this Silver Plated Baby Album to remedy your organizational needs in a personable way.
The inside and binding are covered in black velvet, and it comes with 24 black, acid free pages for long-term, safe storage of those irreplaceable shots.
There is also an option to add an engraving of up to 25 characters to the front of the album.
Only $55 at RedEnvelope.

Long winded title, but a pretty simple concept. This little device will let you listen to the heartbeat of your unborn baby and record your little one’s kicks, heartbeat, and hiccups. You’ll be able to save your recordings forever! You can listen to that miracle growing inside you as soon as your fifth month of pregnancy.
You may also want to record the sound of your own heartbeat and use it to soothe your newborn once he’s arrived. This product is totally safe for you and your baby.
There really is no sound more beautiful - and it’s only $27.95 at BabyAge.
